I can't say I was ever a regular at this place but it was close to where I used to live and I drank there a few times. Architecturally, the pub has bags of character and if it was located anywhere else it would probably be fully converted into an Olde Worlde English theme pub rammed with American tourists. As it is, it is simply a regular boozer in an historic building, which gets moderately full but not (unlike the nearby Crown Posada) packed. Actually I was always surprised at how easy it was to get a seat in there and have a good chat - perhaps they have a less extensive selection of beer?

What a great pub, a must to see with all its little maze type twist and turns as you make your way from room to room. The bar staff are very very friendly and just as helpful. Every time that I have visited here Ive always left with a smile, and will be visiting it again and again. (well done to all the staff)
