I have just ordered a take away from here as have had meals from here before and they hace always been good but the take away ordered was awful, it was ready in 20 minutes which was quite surprising as normally it takes about 45 minutes but maybe thats why it was uneatable. The sauce was like water, i ordered a chicken korm and tikka masala and both the sauce's were extremely runny, uncooked and uneatable as it tasted like brown water, the chicken was dry and boring and since the sauce was uncooked the chicken was like eaten a regular dry chicken. I could not eat it and ended up throwing the whole lot away.
Not impressed and have no plans to ever go back.

This has to be the BEST Indian Restaurant in Hexham. The setting is wonderful with good views overlooking the historic market place, over to the Moot Hall, and across to the Abbey. The decor and furnishing inside or superb, and there are good waiting areas for dining and takeaway service. There is a visitor book, which is full of good comments. The toilets are superb with individual hand towels that you put in a linen basket after use, a selection of hand cleansers and lotions and very clean. The menu is varied with the usual dishes and some very good speciality dishes and not so common dishes (the stuffed pepper starter is to die for). The food is absolutley lovely, with no hint of the oil or ghee used in cooking to be found (a problem with some other places). The rice is cooked to perfection and the Naan breads are light and soft. The drinks selection is good (you even get pints served in a cut glass pint glass) and the house wine is very palatable. The staff are the most friendly, warm and courteous I have come across in Hexham and most other Indian resaurants. They will even keep you up to date with sports results if there is an important game on.If you visit Hexham or live in hexham and haven't been here then you must pay it a visit. Not the cheapest but most definitely worth it!
